Hold the sage bundle on one end, and using a match or lighter, light the bundle on the opposite end until it's well lit. Once lit, let the bundle burn for about 10 seconds. Gently blow out the flame, and the smouldering herb should leave a trail of smoke. Waft the smoke gently on any surface you wish to cleanse, bless, or rid of negative energy. Always have a fire-proof receptacle or Abalone shell with some white sand in it to put out the bundle as required.
